Hold the Finish
Why this drill
The finish is the swing's receipt: balanced and complete means the motion added up; a stumble means something upstream already went wrong. Holding every finish for a slow three-count turns the receipt into the target.
Setup
Any club, ten balls, one target. A three-second count you're honest about.
The drill
Ten swings at normal speed, each finish held for three full seconds — weight on the lead leg, trail toe down, chest at the target, club resting behind your neck. A hop, a step, or a wobble scores zero no matter where the ball went; a held finish scores one even on a mediocre strike, because the motion that balances repeats and the motion that doesn't, doesn't. Eight of ten is the bar. This is the finest last-drill-before-leaving in golf: it sends you to the car with rhythm instead of exhaustion.
