One Club Around the Green
Why this drill
Nine short-game stations, one club for all of them. Opening and closing one wedge's face to invent nine different shots teaches what loft actually is — an adjustment, not a purchase — and doubles the shots you own without touching your bag.
Setup
One wedge — pick your gap or sand wedge — one ball, nine stations around the green: tight lies, rough, fringe, a bunker's edge, short-sided, and long across the green.
The drill
Play each station into the hole, but every shot must be a different answer from the same club: face open for height, face hooded for the runner, ball back for the nip, grip down for the putt-chip. Say the plan aloud before each. Par 2 per station, card the total like Par 18. The scores run higher than your full-wedge-menu rounds at first — then they don't, and what's left is a short game that improvises instead of reaching for the headcover that isn't there.

Loft is in your hands — the club just brings a starting number.
