Why this drill

One ball with every club, shortest to longest, no do-overs. The through-the-bag ladder is the honest census of your game: it finds the club you avoid, the gap you didn't know you had, and the swing that only works when it gets three tries.

Setup

The full bag, fourteen balls, targets at a spread of distances. A scorecard column for every club.

The drill

Start with the most lofted wedge and climb one club at a time to the driver: one ball each, full routine, an appropriate target for each, graded hit or miss on the spot. No second attempts — the round doesn't offer them either. Mark the card. One pass through the bag is fourteen swings of complete honesty; two passes is a session. The clubs that fail both passes are next week's block practice, chosen by evidence instead of mood.

One thought to take with you

Every club gets the same routine — the bag has no favorites.
